Frenchie Introduces $14 Menu and Late-Night Dining in Melbourne CBD

Frenchie has opened at 1/15 Collins Street, introducing a French-inspired restaurant and bar to Melbourne’s CBD. The venue operates on a $14 price structure across its entire food and drinks menu. It trades Monday to Saturday from 5 PM until late.

The concept centres on shared dining and extended evening service. Every dish costs $14, while all drinks follow the same pricing model. As a result, the offering combines fixed pricing with a social format built around plats à partager.

Designed by Andretti Fung of Brand Works, the venue features a mirrored staircase entry that leads into the dining room. Velvet curtains frame the space, while a marble central bar anchors the layout. Cinematic lighting and reflective finishes define the interior. Plush textures and layered materials complete the design.

Co-Owner Lucas Boucly devised the menu, which Head Chef Sylvain Bernard of Chez Olivier Le Bistro executes. The kitchen applies classic French techniques within a casual prix fixe structure. Therefore, the menu focuses on recognisable French dishes presented in a simplified format.

Menu And Drinks Offering

The food selection includes beef cheek with sauce bourguignonne and Parisian mash. It also features cordon bleu meatballs with pea velouté and tuna steak with peppercorn sauce. In addition, diners can order confit duck leg with potatoes sarladaises, steak entrecote and ratatouille tart. Each plate is priced at $14.

Frenchie also serves $14 caviar bumps. Moreover, staff wheel a caviar and Champagne trolley through the dining room during service. The trolley provides tableside servings throughout the night.

All drinks cost $14. Cocktails on tap include a White Negroni with elderflower cloud, a Cognac Highball with apricot brandy and dirty martinis. Meanwhile, the wine list focuses on French and Australian producers and includes Mumm Marlborough Champagne. Furthermore, the bar pours Australian craft beers and European selections on tap.
