Rayas wines to be poured by the glass from 6th May 2026
Reine & La Rue will present a limited allocation of Rayas wines by the glass from Wednesday, 6th May 2026 until sold out. The release includes wines from Château Rayas and affiliated producers, with availability restricted to small quantities per label.
The offering introduces a curated selection using Coravin technology to maintain quality. As a result, guests can access pours in 50ml, 75ml and 150ml formats. Quantities range from one to three bottles per wine, which limits availability across the full list.
Château Rayas wines are rarely listed in Australia and are rarely available by the glass. However, this release provides access through a structured by-the-glass format within a controlled allocation. The wines are sourced from the Rhône Valley, including Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône expressions.

Limited Rhône Valley selections available by the glass
The selection includes Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2012, priced from $87 for a 50ml pour. In addition, Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2012 and 2013 are available from $140 and $137, respectively, for 50ml pours.
Further wines include Pignan 2014 from $74 for 50ml, alongside Château de Fonsalette cuvées from $53. Meanwhile, Château des Tours and Domaine des Tours selections start from $20 for 50ml pours.
The broader wine list spans multiple Rhône classifications. Blanc, rosé and rouge wines are included across the Vaucluse, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône regions. Each listing features varietal compositions such as Grenache, Clairette, Syrah and Cinsault.
Edition Hospitality group sommelier Steve Senturk said, “There is nothing like Rayas, arguably the most profound expression of Grenache, an ethereal, weightless wine that transcends its appellation and exists in a class of its own.”
The venue will apply Coravin technology to each bottle. Therefore, oxidation is minimised while preserving the intended structure and profile of each wine. This allows controlled service across multiple pour sizes without compromising quality.
Reine & La Rue operates from a heritage-listed space at 380 Collins Street, Melbourne. The venue is located within the Cathedral Room, formerly part of the Melbourne Stock Exchange. It includes a restaurant, cocktail bar and an eight-seat wine bar known as La Rue.
The wine program aligns with a broader global selection, supported by a curated approach to sourcing. This release reflects a structured allocation rather than a full list inclusion. Consequently, availability will end once individual bottles are exhausted.
