Sportsbet Caulfield Blue Diamond set to sparkle with Young Franco

Blue Diamond live performance confirmed for 21st February race day

Summer racing at Caulfield will close with a live music headline act, with DJ and producer Young Franco confirmed to perform at Sportsbet Caulfield Blue Diamond on Saturday, 21st February. The performance will take place after the final race, adding a live entertainment finale to the Group 1 race day program.

Young Franco will perform in the General Admission area following the conclusion of racing. The appearance forms part of the wider Sportsbet Caulfield Blue Diamond event schedule, which combines elite thoroughbred racing with post-race entertainment. As a result, racegoers will transition directly from the track to a live music set without leaving the venue.

Born and raised in Brisbane, Young Franco has established a national and international profile since his 2016 breakout single Drop Your Love featuring DiRTY RADiO, which achieved ARIA Gold certification. Since then, his catalogue has expanded to four ARIA Gold-certified singles, alongside an Emmy nomination and a Queensland Music Award. His music has accumulated more than 200 million global streams.

More recently, Young Franco completed a global tour during 2025 and appeared across Australia’s 2025–26 summer festival circuit. These appearances included a set at Beyond The Valley, one of the country’s largest music festivals. Following that tour, the Caulfield performance places him within a racing environment that continues to integrate live music with major race meetings.

“I’m pumped to be headlining Sportsbet Caulfield Blue Diamond,” said Young Franco. “Coming straight off the summer festival circuit, I can’t wait to bring that same energy to the track.”

Post-race entertainment adds to Blue Diamond race day schedule

The Sportsbet Caulfield Blue Diamond is a key fixture of the summer racing calendar and attracts large on-course crowds each year. While the race itself remains the centrepiece, post-race entertainment has become a scheduled feature of the event program. Consequently, the addition of Young Franco aligns with recent race day formats that extend the on-course experience beyond the final field.

MRC Chief Commercial Officer Ashley Curnow said the live performance would build on that momentum. “We’re excited to welcome Young Franco to Caulfield for our premier Group 1 Summer Carnival race day,” said MRC Chief Commercial Officer Ashley Curnow. “Entertainment after the last race has become a real highlight for racegoers, and Young Franco will take that experience to another level. It’s the perfect way to celebrate as the Summer Carnival comes to a close.”

The Sportsbet Caulfield Blue Diamond continues to position itself as both a racing and entertainment event. Therefore, the confirmed performance adds to a broader program that already includes high-profile racing, on-course hospitality, and general admission access for the wider public.
