New Platform Enhances AI Integration and Governance

SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. announced the launch of WorkHQ, an agentic automation platform that enhances enterprise-wide AI integration and governance. This announcement was made on April 29 during a live event at Nasdaq in New York City.

Unveiled as part of the event, WorkHQ introduces a unified control plane that orchestrates people, AI agents, APIs, and digital workers into a single governed environment. The platform is designed for enterprises to operationalize AI safely and transparently.

Rob Stone, General Manager of Intelligent Automation & Analytics at SS&C, stated, “WorkHQ was built for the enterprise problem, not the enterprise demo. We designed WorkHQ for that reality from the ground up.”

The unveiling of WorkHQ marks a significant milestone for SS&C, which supports over 23,000 customers globally. With the assistance of more than 4,000 digital workers and 50 AI agents, the company aims to improve operational efficiency across key processes.

Features of WorkHQ

WorkHQ offers centralized control, allowing organisations to manage AI agents, digital workers, and APIs. It embeds governance, security, and compliance into the workflow, ensuring organisations can adopt AI while remaining compliant.

The platform utilises a hybrid automation approach, complementing existing RPA and BPM investments. This allows the introduction of AI agents where they add value, while retaining deterministic automation where control is essential.

Neil Ward-Dutton, Vice President of Agentic Automation & AI Technology research at IDC, remarked, “To deliver measurable, lasting value from their AI investments at scale, organisations are focusing on unifying tools and practices relating to orchestration and governance.”

SS&C’s development of WorkHQ was informed by its own experience operating at scale across regulated industries. The company has significantly reduced processing times by up to 95% in key workflows as a result of these efforts.

According to SS&C, WorkHQ was optimised through real-time, observable, everyday use before reaching customers. The platform is designed to complement and connect with existing Blue Prism platforms, allowing innovation without disrupting existing technology infrastructure.

WorkHQ’s modular and reusable design cuts time to automation and increases scale across enterprises. This makes it a valuable tool for organisations looking to integrate AI agents effectively.

SS&C developed WorkHQ based on its extensive experience in regulated industries. This experience has been pivotal in creating a platform that not only enhances efficiency but also ensures robust governance and compliance.
