Integrates Seamlessly with Existing Infrastructure

Thales has announced the availability of Imperva for Google Cloud, a new application security platform designed to operate directly within Google Cloud infrastructure. The launch, announced on 22nd April 2026, aims to enhance web application and API protection without the need for external routing.

Imperva for Google Cloud leverages Google Cloud’s Service Extension traffic, maintaining existing pipelines and integration workflows. This approach addresses the latency and friction often introduced by external security solutions.

Tim Chang, Global Vice President and General Manager of Imperva Application Security at Thales, stated, “With Imperva for Google Cloud, security is part of the cloud infrastructure, delivering enterprise-grade protection without disrupting how applications are built and delivered.”

Advanced Features of Imperva

The new platform integrates directly with Google Cloud Load Balancing using Private Service Connect, ensuring traffic remains within Google Cloud’s network while being inspected and protected. Key features include deployment without disruption, immediate protection with minimal tuning, and a resilient architecture.

Imperva for Google Cloud is designed with an automation-first approach, offering API-driven deployment and Terraform support to reduce operational complexity for DevOps and security teams. This integration supports faster innovation while maintaining robust protection for critical applications.

Thales has been recognised as a 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year in the Infrastructure Modernization: Sovereign Cloud category, underscoring its commitment to advancing enterprise data protection across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Thales will showcase hands-on demonstrations of Imperva for Google Cloud at Google Cloud Next 2026, held in Las Vegas from 22nd to 24th April. The event will also feature presentations on External Key Management and Customer-Managed Encryption Keys for Google Cloud.

Designed to resolve conflicts between development and security teams, Imperva for Google Cloud embeds advanced security directly into the cloud infrastructure. This ensures that applications are protected without compromising on performance or simplicity.

The platform’s key capabilities also include high-confidence protection from day one, with policies updated daily by a dedicated threat research team, ensuring that applications remain available even during disruptions. This design eliminates any single point of failure.
