Aris Mining Reaches Key Marmato Project Milestone

Underground Access Established for Expansion

Aris Mining Corporation achieved a significant milestone in its Marmato gold mine project by connecting the newly constructed surface decline with the existing underground development on 17th April 2026. This breakthrough establishes continuous access from the surface to the existing workings, where a 5,000 tonne per day CIP plant is underway.

With this connection, the project remains on track for its first gold production in the fourth quarter of 2026. Neil Woodyer, Chair and CEO of Aris Mining, emphasised the importance of this development, stating, “The on-schedule connection of the new surface decline to the existing underground development is a major milestone for Marmato and an important step in delivering our expansion plans.”

Expansion Plans and Future Production

Expected to become a larger-scale, modern underground mining operation, Marmato is making significant progress in developing the infrastructure needed to support expanded operations. Following expansion, the Marmato and Segovia mines are projected to produce approximately 500,000 ounces of gold annually. Segovia recently completed the installation of its second mill in June 2025, a crucial advancement supporting increased production.

Meanwhile, Aris Mining manages additional key projects in South America, such as Soto Norte in Colombia and Toroparu in Guyana. The company aims for a long-term production objective of 1 million ounces of gold annually. Environmental studies for Soto Norte are to be submitted in the second quarter of 2026, while a construction decision for Toroparu is anticipated in early 2027.

Aris Mining’s strategic projects, including the high-grade Soto Norte gold project, demonstrate the company’s commitment to expanding its portfolio and enhancing production capacity. The Soto Norte project is finalising environmental studies crucial for initiating the licensing process.

Updates on construction and development milestones at Marmato will be provided as they occur. Aris Mining is listed on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ARIS.
