BQ750 Expands Capabilities and Endurance

Based Boresight has introduced the BQ750 drone, enhancing its range of target unmanned aerial systems designed for military and security training. This launch, announced on 5th June, marks a significant upgrade from the previous BQ400 model.

The new BQ750 drone features increased size, endurance, and payload capacity, allowing it to emulate a broader range of threats. It integrates seamlessly with Boresight’s Ground Control Station, which can operate up to 10 drones simultaneously, including both the BQ400 and BQ750 models.

Boresight’s expansion comes in response to customer demand for drones of varying sizes to enhance realistic training scenarios. The company is also developing fixed-wing variants and pursuing a swarm-capable roadmap, backed by CASA approval to operate up to 20 drones concurrently in Australia.

Supporting Global Defence Training

Boresight’s target drones offer counter-UAS operators a realistic and repeatable threat to train against, supporting military and security efforts across Australasia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Over the past five years, the company has sold 6,000 drones to defence and industry customers.

According to Boresight, their drones provide affordable and realistic threat emulation necessary for recurring training, rather than one-off demonstrations. This approach helps improve operational readiness without risking high-value assets.

The BQ750 drone is part of Boresight’s effort to remain ahead of evolving drone threats by offering an integrated aerial target drone ecosystem. This system enables realistic counter-UAS training and testing for defence forces.

Boresight’s systems combine attritable aerial target drones, mission planning software, and scalable ground control systems to support threat emulation and operational readiness. The platform range includes quadrotor and fixed-wing aerial targets designed to replicate evolving drone threats.
