Expanded Festival Offers New Attractions and Rare Breeds
BRISBANE The Brisbane Dog Lovers Festival has announced its return with a highly anticipated event set for May 16-17, 2026, at the Brisbane Showgrounds. This year’s festival promises to be its largest yet, showcasing a wide array of dog breeds and new activities, according to organisers.
The festival will feature the biggest-ever Breed Showcase, supported by Dogs Queensland, with more than 30 breeds on display. Attendees can expect to meet a mix of popular and rare breeds, while engaging with verified breeders and experts from official breed clubs.
Paul Mathers, Festival Director, expressed excitement about the event’s return after a two-year hiatus. “This is without doubt the biggest celebration of dogs we’ve ever delivered in Brisbane,” Mathers stated, highlighting the festival’s comprehensive offerings.
