Details for the 2026 Event at Isa Rodeo

Returning to the Mount Isa Mines Rodeo in 2026, the Cowgirls in the Capital Cocktail Brunch will take place at The Cattleman’s Bar on 8th August from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. As part of the largest rodeo in the Southern Hemisphere, the event will coincide with the rodeo from 7th to 9th August 2026.

Get your tickets for this popular event at 10 AM on 5th June through the Mount Isa Rodeo website. Attendees can enjoy two complimentary cocktails, charcuterie boards, and a custom branded silk scarf. Known for its Outback Queensland glam, the event offers a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded women.

Local graziers Hannah Hacon from Granada Station and Shelley Curr from Yelvertoft Station are the masterminds behind the brunch. Hannah shared, “Shelley originally came to me with the idea to host a Cowgirl Brunch. She thought it would be a great excuse to frock up and get all the girls together during rodeo time.”

What to Expect at the Brunch

Guests can enjoy the best view of the rodeo action from the famous Kalkadoon arena while connecting with women who love the Isa Rodeo. Lucky door prizes and a gift pack for each participant add to the excitement. Tickets are priced at $80 per person, with limited availability.

Planning your outfit for the event? The dress code suggests Rodeo Glam, with boots, a crisp Akubra hat, denim, and western-themed accessories. Channel your style from Dolly Parton to Beyoncé, and remember, fringe and embroidery score bonus points.

More than just fashion and fun, the brunch celebrates the community spirit that the Mount Isa Mines Rodeo embodies. The event attracts locals and visitors eager to experience its unique blend of sophistication and Outback charm.

Excitement builds with the addition of the new Cattleman’s Bar, which will host the brunch. After the brunch, guests can explore the rodeo, featuring thrilling events like bull riding and barrel racing.

Held at the Buchanan Park Events Complex, the Mount Isa Mines Rodeo offers daily entry passes and three-day passes for purchase on the event website. This annual event not only celebrates rodeo sports but also showcases the vibrant culture and hospitality of Outback Queensland.
