Argoseeker electric outboards target kayaks and small boats

LiTime will launch its Argoseeker electric outboard motors in mid-August 2026, expanding from LiFePO4 batteries into marine propulsion.

Announced in Sydney on 14th July 2026, the range targets kayaks, canoes and paddle craft, while the larger model also suits small boats.

The Argoseeker Series combines the motor, controller and battery system into one marine power package. According to LiTime, that removes the need to match separate motors and batteries.

For more than six years, LiTime has supplied lithium power products for RV, marine, golf cart and off-grid use worldwide.

User feedback helped shape the launch. LiTime said Australian boaters wanted easier ways to move from paddle power to electric propulsion.

Longer trips, extra gear and changing conditions can make paddling harder, especially on smaller craft carrying more weight.

Existing electric conversion options often require separate motor and battery choices, while fuel outboards add noise, emissions and maintenance.

Argoseeker A1 and A2 specs

The first model, the Argoseeker A1, is a 24V 700W unit for kayaks, canoes and lightweight small craft.

LiTime rates the A1 at 60 lbs of thrust, roughly comparable to a 2 HP fuel-powered outboard.

At about 150 kg total boat weight, the A1 can reach 7 to 10 km/h. It pairs with LiTime 24V LiFePO4 batteries, including 50Ah and 100Ah options.

The Argoseeker A2 moves up to 48V and 2000W for larger small boats.

That model delivers 120 lbs of thrust, which LiTime compares with an approximately 5 HP fuel-powered outboard.

At around 300 kg total boat weight, the A2 is rated for 12 to 15 km/h. It works with LiTime 48V LiFePO4 battery systems.

Both models aim to reduce setup time. LiTime lists a 3-minute clamp-on installation, plus wireless remote control and cruise control.

As a result, the company is pitching the system to paddlers and recreational boaters who want electric boating with less equipment management.

LiTime described the launch as a step from lithium power solutions to a one-stop marine power offering.

Meanwhile, Go Electric Contest Season 2 opens on 15th July 2026 after insights from Season 1. LiTime plans to use that programme to gather more real-world feedback from the global boating community.
