MSI starts Australian sales of four wall-mounted models on 16 September
MSI EVSE launched its Eco Series wall-mounted EV charger range in Australia on 16 September 2026, with two home models priced at $999 and $1,199.
The four-model line-up targets homes, apartments and commercial sites across Australia. It follows MSI’s EZgo portable charger, which Jerry Lu said helped the company build trust with early EV owners.
For home users, the range includes the Eco Life at $999 and the Eco Premium Home at $1,199. Both models offer AutoCharge vehicle recognition and app-based scheduling through the MSI aConnect app.
With AutoCharge, drivers plug in the cable and charging starts without a card or an app tap. The Eco Premium Home also adds a 5-inch LCD screen.
That display shows real-time voltage, amperage, session duration and energy delivered in kWh. MSI said installers can route power from different directions to suit wall layouts.
Meanwhile, the two commercial models add OCPP 1.6J networking, Modbus solar integration, optional 4G connectivity and multi-user authentication. MSI says those features suit strata buildings, fleets and other commercial deployments.
All four models support single-phase 7 kW and three-phase 22 kW power from the same unit. Each charger is IP65 and IK08 rated, EESS certified, and built with UL94 V-0 flame-retardant materials.
The range comes with a three-year warranty and up to USD $5 million in product liability insurance. MSI did not provide Australian pricing for the commercial models.
Early sites in Hawthorn and Clayton
The Eco Series is already in use at Sierra Hawthorn in Victoria and at Scorptec’s Clayton store in Melbourne. MSI said NOX Energy delivered both projects.
According to MSI, Sierra Hawthorn is Australia’s largest EV-enabled residential building. The company said the development has 241 apartments.
Lu said the Eco Series is MSI’s next step after the EZgo charger. He said Australia is reaching a point where rooftop solar, EV adoption and building regulation are coming together.
