Coles launches expanded pay with points option nationwide

Flybuys members can now take up to $100 off an in-store Coles shop after Coles launched its expanded pay with points option nationwide on Wednesday 15th July 2026.

The new checkout option lets eligible customers redeem between $10 and $100 off, based on their points balance and total spend. Until now, customers could only take $10 off per shop.

Members need at least 2,000 Flybuys points to start redeeming. Available redemption amounts are $10, $20, $30, $50, $70 and $100.

Michael Courtney on in-store savings

Coles chief customer experience officer Michael Courtney said customers want practical ways to save, and the new option lets them use points they have already earned for instant savings at the checkout.

At the top end, 20,000 Flybuys points can be redeemed for $100 off a shop. Meanwhile, 2,000 points equals $10 off.

To use the offer, eligible members shop in store at a Coles supermarket, scan their Flybuys at checkout and choose an available dollar amount. The amount offered depends on the member’s points balance and the value of the transaction.

According to Coles, more than half of Flybuys members who shopped in store at Coles in the past 12 months received more than $40 off at checkout through $10 redemptions.

Flybuys chief executive officer Anna Lee said value and flexibility matter to members, and the expanded option gives them another simple way to turn points into money off their shop.

Flybuys members collect 1 point for every dollar spent at Coles and Liquorland. They can also build their balance faster by activating personalised offers in the Coles app or the Flybuys app before they shop.

Points can also be earned across the broader Flybuys partner network before customers redeem them in store at Coles supermarkets. As a result, members have more ways to build up points before using them at the checkout.

Coles also plans to extend pay with points to selected Liquorland stores in Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, and selected stores in Western Australia and South Australia from Wednesday 19th August 2026.
