Significant Increase in Gold Resources Announced

On 25th June 2026, New Murchison Gold Limited (ASX: NMG) announced a 47% increase in the Mineral Resource Estimate at its Garden Gully Gold Project, located near Meekatharra, Western Australia.

Standing now at 4.42 million tonnes at 2.5 grams per tonne of gold, the updated estimate contains 359,000 ounces of gold. This marks a 29% rise from the November 2024 estimate and a 47% overall increase after accounting for production up to 1st April 2026.

Representing 71% of the project’s total ounces, Measured and Indicated categories indicate strong local grade predictability for near-term mining plans. Offering a low-risk mill feed, the Crown Prince Open Pit’s Measured Resource is 39,000 ounces at 3.83 grams per tonne gold.

Project Details and Future Plans

Beyond the optimised pit shell, the Mineral Resource Estimate includes an underground component calculated at a 1.2 grams per tonne gold cut-off. Adding 31,000 ounces to the global inventory, the Cloudkicker deposit has 80% classified as indicated. Meanwhile, Lydia Maiden and Abbotts Maiden contribute 55,000 ounces at 1.78 grams per tonne and 44,000 ounces at 1.75 grams per tonne, respectively.

Lying within 800 metres of the active Crown Prince hub, the Cloudkicker and Lydia deposits benefit from proximity, facilitating easy access via existing infrastructure and reducing development costs.

Advanced modelling from current production areas and new resource inventories have been integrated into the update. Stokes Geoscience and Widenbar and Associates prepared the estimates using updated structural interpretations and recent drilling data.

Expanding the geological model, further drilling and exploration have resulted in 738 new holes being drilled since the 2024 Mineral Resource Estimate. As primary mineralisation continues along strike and depth, the project’s full potential is still being explored.

NMG plans to utilise the updated Mineral Resource Estimates for feasibility studies and to optimise both open-pit and underground mining operations. Ongoing infill and extensional drilling aim at resource expansion and classification improvement, with ore to be processed at Westgold’s Bluebird treatment plant.
