Over 780 Participants Already Registered

The Gold Coast Memory Walk & Jog is set for 7th June 2026, with more than 780 participants already registered. This event supports Dementia Australia by raising much-needed funds and awareness for dementia care and research.

Dementia Australia CEO, Professor Tanya Buchanan, expressed excitement over the community’s active participation. She highlighted the importance of such events, which aid the 446,500 Australians living with dementia and the 1.7 million family members, friends, and carers who support them daily.

“We are thrilled to be back in the Gold Coast on Sunday 7th June for the 2026 Memory Walk & Jog. It is inspiring to see the Gold Coast community come together to support the 446,500 Australians living with dementia, and 1.7 million family members, friends and carers who support them every day,” Professor Buchanan said.

The Gold Coast Memory Walk & Jog is one of 14 events occurring across Australia in 2026. These events offer opportunities for individuals and teams to participate, honouring or supporting loved ones affected by dementia.

Event Details and Participation

Participants can register online or at the event, either individually or in teams. The event accommodates all fitness levels, allowing participants to choose to walk, jog, or run.

For those unable to attend in person, Dementia Australia encourages organising a ‘MyWay’ event. This option allows individuals or groups to select their own date and location for participation. Registration details for ‘MyWay’ are available on the official Memory Walk & Jog website.
