Driving Innovation in Autonomous Navigation

HERE Technologies and neueHCT have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Auto China 2026, aiming to accelerate the worldwide deployment of Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) systems. According to the agreement, the collaboration focuses on integrating cutting-edge technologies to advance intelligent driving programmes globally.

HERE Technologies will enhance its AI-powered live map and location services with neueHCT’s automotive robotics software. This integration aims to improve the decision-making capabilities of autonomous vehicles, making them safer and more efficient.

The collaboration seeks to upgrade intelligent driving systems from L2+ capabilities to more advanced levels of automation, including L4 and robotaxi applications. Target markets for these innovations include Europe and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. These regions are experiencing a rapid increase in demand for autonomous technology.

AI, maps, and robotics technology are converging to push the boundaries of intelligent driving. The partnership plans to deliver systems that offer smoother lane-level guidance and increased hazard awareness, providing greater peace of mind for drivers worldwide.

NeueHCT, a joint venture between Horizon Robotics and AUMOVIO, contributes its expertise in intelligent driving software research and development, as well as its mature NOA product solutions and mass production experience with leading Chinese automakers. This makes neueHCT a pivotal player in the global expansion of intelligent driving technologies.

Meanwhile, HERE Technologies offers its globally consistent map data and cloud-based services. Its automotive-grade platform is already trusted by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide, facilitating the internationalization of Chinese-born intelligent driving technologies.

Together, the partnership creates a clear pathway for scaling these technologies globally. It supports automotive manufacturers as they expand their intelligent driving programmes across various international markets. The expansion is anticipated to revolutionise the perception and utilization of autonomous vehicles across different regions, enabling a new era of transportation innovation.

Vanessa Lee, representing HERE Technologies, remarked, “Our collaboration with neueHCT is set to redefine the boundaries of intelligent driving, leveraging the strengths of both companies to create a safer and more efficient transportation future.”
