$1,000 off each 9kWh SigenStor module
Sigenergy has launched a $1,000 discount on each new 9kWh SigenStor home battery module in Australia, cutting the upfront cost of residential energy storage for households buying through its Platinum installers and partners.
The company announced the offer in Sydney on 10 July 2026.
Because the discount applies per module, larger SigenStor systems can combine multiple $1,000 reductions. When buyers also qualify for the Federal Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries programme, total savings on bigger systems can climb toward $10,000, depending on system size, location and installer pricing.
The federal rebate currently cuts eligible systems by about 30% of installed cost. Accredited installers apply the rebate upfront at the point of sale, and the scheme has no income test.
The federal programme covers systems from 5kWh to 100kWh. Meanwhile, SigenStor uses a modular design that expands in 9kWh steps, so households can match the battery size to their needs and collect the manufacturer discount on every module installed.
27kWh and 54kWh savings
A 54kWh system uses six 9kWh modules. That setup gets $6,000 in manufacturer discounts alone. After that, the federal rebate for a system of that size can add more than $6,000, depending on location, taking total savings beyond $10,000.
For buyers focused on value rather than maximum capacity, Sigenergy highlighted a 27kWh system built from three modules. Under the scheme’s tiered structure, 27kWh sits at the upper edge of the 60% rebate tier, making it the largest installation that still earns the strongest rebate rate on every kWh installed.
Will Hall, managing director ANZ at Sigenergy, said the offer puts more money back into household budgets and helps batteries pay for themselves faster.
“A battery should pay for itself faster and work harder for the family that owns it, and that’s exactly what this offer delivers,” Hall said.
Eligibility for the federal rebate depends on system size, installation date and accreditation requirements. Full terms are available through the Clean Energy Regulator and participating installers.
Beyond the hardware discount, Sigenergy also pointed to the software inside the system. SigenStor runs on SigenAgent, the company’s AI energy agent, which is designed to learn how a home uses and stores energy over time.
