Experience INVISIBLE and FLIGHT at Arts Centre Melbourne
Disappear Into the Unknown: DARKFIELD’s Acclaimed INVISIBLE and FLIGHT Dock in Melbourne this Summer
DARKFIELD, the internationally renowned creators of immersive audio theatre, are back in Melbourne with two boundary-pushing experiences that blur the line between reality and imagination. INVISIBLE makes its highly anticipated debut at Arts Centre Melbourne on 24 October 2025, alongside the return of audience favourite FLIGHT.
INVISIBLE is not a show you simply watch—it’s an unnerving experience that swallows you whole. Step inside a blacked-out 40ft shipping container disguised as a theatre, where you will listen to The Invisible Man teach you the art of disappearing. This gripping performance dives into the temptations of invisibility and the chilling mindset of a dangerous man. It asks a haunting question: is existing enough, or do we need witnesses to prove our presence in the world?

The experience is created by UK-based Artistic Directors Glen Neath and David Rosenberg, who have become masters at building strange, captivating worlds inside shipping containers. Using 360-degree binaural audio and total darkness, INVISIBLE pushes audiences into the depths of human psychology, exploring the thin line between thrill and fear.
“Following a record-breaking tour across the country, we’re thrilled to be returning to Arts Centre Melbourne with INVISIBLE and can’t wait to see how audiences respond to this latest work,” said Amy Johnson, Realscape Productions.

For those who have already ventured into DARKFIELD’s universe, FLIGHT offers another electrifying journey. This piece explores the many worlds interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, where every possible outcome is playing out in countless parallel realities. Onboard FLIGHT, audiences experience two possible outcomes to their journey—both equally confronting, both impossible to forget. As the performance reminds us, even if poor choices define one version of ourselves, somewhere another version made better ones.
“INVISIBLE and FLIGHT are ideal for anyone who loves the thrill of multisensory entertainment, and immersing themselves in the unknown,” said Johnson.
DARKFIELD has already captivated more than 700,000 people worldwide with its unique brand of sensory theatre. Produced in Australia by Realscape Productions, these shows are proof that theatre doesn’t need lights, costumes or even a visible stage to mesmerise an audience.
