Revolutionizing Credit and Compliance Operations

On April 9, 2026, Moody’s Corporation announced a strategic partnership with Anthropic to integrate its Agentic Solutions into the Claude AI environment, which includes Claude Desktop, Claude.ai, and Claude Enterprise. This collaboration brings Moody’s decision-grade risk intelligence to Anthropic’s frontier AI environment, delivering reliable and auditable outputs at the scale required by regulated institutions. Users can now perform complex tasks like memo generation, peer comparisons, and compliance checks directly within Claude.

Moody’s partnership with Anthropic introduces a purpose-built Model Context Protocol (MCP) application, making Agentic Solutions available natively in Claude. According to Cristina Pieretti, Head of Digital Content and Innovation at Moody’s, “The institutions that will lead in an AI-driven world are those that build on intelligence that can be trusted, defended, and acted upon.” This integration enables financial institutions to execute workflows that previously took hours, such as assembling ratings, research, and financial data, in a conversational manner within Claude.

Comprehensive Workflow Solutions

Moody’s purpose-built agents support a variety of credit analysis tasks, from scorecard assessments to compliance processes, such as entity profiling and adverse media screening, all integrated into a unified workflow within the Claude environment. workflows for KYC and compliance professionals, including entity screening, ownership structure mapping, and sanctions checks, are available as a single, integrated workflow rendered directly in the Claude interface.

By incorporating these capabilities, Moody’s aims to streamline operations for credit analysts and compliance professionals, reducing the need for time-consuming data gathering across multiple platforms. Kate Jensen, Anthropic Head of Americas, noted, “Claude is built for work where the stakes are high and the outputs need to be defensible, and that’s exactly what credit and compliance teams face every day.”

At launch, Moody’s agents will enhance credit analysis for financial institutions, providing functionalities for memo generation, peer comparisons, and scorecard assessments. Compliance workflows will cover entity profiling, ownership structure mapping, adverse media screening, and sanctions checks. Future releases will include further enhancements in risk monitoring and portfolio intelligence, extending Moody’s agentic workflows within the Claude environment. Currently, Moody’s unified architecture spans 600 million entities, ensuring that each agent is grounded in connected intelligence, providing comprehensive support for financial decision-making.

Separately, Moody’s is deploying Claude Enterprise, Claude Code, and Claude Desktop in its own operations to accelerate the product development lifecycle that powers its AI roadmap. This initiative highlights Moody’s commitment to leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies to stay ahead in the competitive financial technology landscape. As the collaboration between Moody’s and Anthropic progresses, both companies anticipate significant advancements in credit and compliance operations for their clients.
