Rodeo Highlights and Performances
Dayna Bradshaw, famously known as Cowgirls With Wings, is set to amaze the audience at the Mount Isa Mines Rodeo from 7 to 9 August 2026. This event will take place at the renowned red dirt arena in Buchanan Park, Mount Isa. Dayna will bring her unique trick riding skills, which include breathtaking American-style stunts, to this historic rodeo.
Originally from New South Wales, near Inverell, Bradshaw is Australia's only female trick rider performing the full spectrum of American-style trick riding. Her performances feature heart-stopping stunts such as backbends and handstands, all executed at full gallop.
Bradshaw, who has been a professional entertainer for nearly a decade, has captivated audiences in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, Canberra, and the Northern Territory. She will showcase her talents at the rodeo with five performance horses, including the star horse Bambi. Her equine companions also include Macey, Piper, Magic, and Dodge.
Joining Dayna will be Popcorn, also known as the Cowgoose. This Roman Goose will be dressed in full cowgoose regalia, ready to charm the audience during special Meet & Greet sessions after the show.
Dayna expressed her excitement, saying, "This has been my dream rodeo to perform at since I was 16. Finally stepping into the famous red dirt arena at Mount Isa will be a career highlight, and I can’t wait to share the magic with everyone."
Entertainment Lineup
The Barnyard Band from Townsville is set to headline the entertainment at the rodeo. Led by Laurence Sorbello, an award-winning crowd participation country entertainer, the band promises an unforgettable experience.
Katisha Adelaide will join Sorbello with her explosive fiddle brilliance, alongside their all-star five-piece band. They will perform on Friday and Saturday nights, August 7 and 8, delivering a two-night country concert spectacular.
This concert will pay homage to the greatest country artists of all time and present their debut songs, scheduled for release in 2026.
The Mount Isa Mines Rodeo, presented by Akubra, is the largest rodeo in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the biggest in the world. The event attracts top cowgirls and cowboys who compete in various rodeo events, making it a must-see event in Outback Queensland.
