Non-binding MOU sets out industrial-scale plan tied to Perth testing

NVRO Metals Limited has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Hecla Greens Creek Mining Company for a proposed 35,000-tonne tailings processing campaign at the NVRO Metals Hub.

The MOU is dated 23rd June 2026. It sets out a plan to develop the technical and commercial framework for an industrial-scale campaign using Hecla tailings as feedstock for the NVRO Process™.

Hecla Greens Creek Mining Company is a subsidiary of Hecla Mining Company, which trades on the NYSE under HL.

NVRO Metals trades on the TSXV under NVRO, on the OTCQB under ESGLF and on the FSE under YGK. The company focuses on recovering precious and critical metals from sulfidic feedstock, including ores, concentrates, mine waste and tailings.

On 10th June 2026, NVRO Metals announced the proposed acquisition of the assets that make up the Metals Hub. That transaction still faces conditions, but the company expects to complete it in August 2026.

The proposed campaign would use Hecla customer feedstock at industrial scale. NVRO Metals also links the campaign to the commercialization of the NVRO Process™.

Perth test and hub acquisition

Two conditions must be met on or before 30th December 2026 unless both parties agree to another date. First, Hecla must be satisfied with NVRO Metals’ current production demonstration campaign on 20 tonnes of Hecla feedstock at the company’s Perth, Western Australia facility.

Second, NVRO Metals must complete the acquisition and commissioning of the previously announced NVRO Metals Hub. As a result, the larger 35,000-tonne plan depends on both a successful test run and the hub coming into service.

The company presented the MOU as a milestone for industrial-scale mineral processing. It also said a successful campaign would mark another step toward Technology Readiness Level 9, or TRL9, for the NVRO Process™.

Management also tied the project to a wider critical minerals supply chain strategy. In that plan, the NVRO Metals Hub is intended to act as a centralised processing platform for third-party material.

Grant Freeman, chief executive of NVRO Metals Limited, said the agreement creates a path toward industrial-scale deployment of the NVRO Process™ using customer feedstock.

Meanwhile, the proposed campaign would give NVRO Metals an early chance to show how the Metals Hub could handle larger commercial volumes. If the conditions are met, about 35,000 tonnes of Hecla tailings would be processed through the hub.

It described NVRO Metals as a clean technology company focused on metal recovery from complex sulfidic materials.
