BEAUDESERT — Queensland cowboys showcased their prowess at the PBR Beaudesert Invitational, with Donnie Rutherfurd from Mount Isa emerging victorious in the two-day event, according to an official statement. Held over the weekend, the event witnessed Rutherfurd’s flawless performances that secured him the top spot.

Rutherfurd’s consistent rides resulted in an aggregate score of 247.40, earning him 96 event points. This victory marks Rutherfurd’s second win of the 2026 season, having previously triumphed at the PBR Sandstone Point Touring Pro, according to event organizers. His success at Beaudesert positions him second in the national standings with 532.50 points.

A Dominant Performance by Queensland Riders

The event also saw strong performances from other Queensland riders. Ethan Coster from Miriam Vale finished second, while Mareeba’s Kurt Shephard, the 2025 Gold Buckle champion, secured third place. The competition highlighted the talent in the Sunshine State, as noted by the event’s organizers. The YETI Bull of the Night award went to Stetson Nirvana from Dittmann Bucking Bulls, which delivered a powerful performance.
