U.S. Push for Domestic Mineral Supply
Resolution Minerals Ltd (ASX: RML; OTCQB: RLMLF) has achieved a significant milestone by securing the inclusion of its Antimony Ridge Project in Idaho, USA, into the U.S. Federal FAST-41 Permitting Transparency Program. This designation is expected to expedite permitting timelines and enhance development certainty.
FAST-41 is a special permitting framework intended to streamline approvals for critical infrastructure projects strategically important to U.S. national security. The selection of Antimony Ridge follows a U.S. Executive Order aimed at boosting domestic mineral production and reducing reliance on foreign supply chains for critical minerals.
Antimony Ridge is identified as a potential domestic source of antimony, a critical metal used in defence, energy, and industrial applications. The United States currently faces constrained supplies of antimony and tungsten due to geopolitical tensions and export restrictions.
Strategic Importance and Project Details
Resolution’s inclusion in FAST-41 is expected to enhance inter-agency coordination, define permitting timelines, and enable transparent milestone tracking. This provides a clear path to advance bulk sampling and drilling activities at the project site.
The company has submitted a Plan of Operations targeting bulk sampling of near-surface high-grade antimony mineralization and a drilling programme of up to 250 holes to define the system’s scale. Antimony Ridge is part of Resolution’s broader Horse Heaven Project, which includes recently acquired processing infrastructure at Johnson Creek, historical tungsten stockpiles, and a fully funded Phase 2 drilling programme at Golden Gate comprising up to 45 holes.
The project is located adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ Stibnite Gold Project, reinforcing the region’s growing importance as a hub for U.S. critical minerals. U.S. Congressman Russ Fulcher commented, "Antimony is a key component in the production of defence weaponry and energy technology. I am pleased to see the Antimony Ridge Project receive FAST-41 transparency status. Ensuring we have a strong domestic supply of this natural resource – sourced right here in Idaho in an environmentally friendly way – is vital to U.S. national defence and economic security."
Craig Lindsay, Resolution’s CEO – US Operations, noted that "FAST-41 selection is a significant step forward for Antimony Ridge and reinforces the strategic importance of this project within the United States. This designation provides a clear and more efficient pathway through permitting, allowing us to progress bulk sampling and drilling activities with greater confidence and transparency."
Resolution plans to collaborate with the U.S. Forest Service to advance the Antimony Ridge Plan of Operations. Approval will lead to bulk sampling and a comprehensive drilling campaign. In May 2026, Resolution intends to initiate a major Phase 2 drilling programme at Golden Gate, aiming to expand mineralization and progress towards a Mineral Resource Estimate. This integrated development strategy spans exploration, metallurgy, and potential downstream processing in a tier-one U.S. jurisdiction.
