Game, Set, Spritz launches at Rodd & Gunn’s The Lodge Dining Room

Rodd & Gunn’s The Lodge Dining Room hosts summer Aperol Spritz lunches

Rodd & Gunn’s The Lodge Dining Room has launched a summer lunch experience titled Game, Set, Spritz. The limited series runs from 20th to 31st January at the venue’s Level 1 location on Little Collins Street. The concept pairs a structured set menu with live tennis screenings during lunch service.

Guests enter via Union Lane and take the lift to Level 1. Staff greet diners on arrival with a complimentary Aperol Spritz. Service then begins with a shared bread course before guests choose between a two-course or three-course menu.

The two-course menu is priced at $65, while the three-course option is priced at $85. Both formats support extended lunch sittings rather than quick turnover. Live tennis matches are played throughout the dining room during service.

Menu structure and live tennis integration

The First Serve course focuses on lighter seasonal starters. Guests may choose heirloom tomato salad with smoked eel and herb emulsion. Alternatively, the menu offers Brooklands Farm pig head croquettes with date brown sauce and apple.

Set Two presents a concise selection of mains. Guests select the Wanderer flank steak with roasted onion and bone marrow sauce or the baked market fish with herb crumb and fennel. A range of sides supports shared dining across the table.

Guests who select the three-course menu continue to dessert. Options include raspberry crémeux with peach sorbet, green apple mousse with yoghurt ice cream, or strawberry and vanilla cream tart served with strawberry sorbet. The menu maintains a seasonal focus throughout.

The dining room prioritises lunchtime service and natural light. Floor-to-ceiling arched windows brighten the space across the afternoon. The layout allows live tennis coverage to run alongside service without disruption.

Game, Set, Spritz will bring people together around flavour, colour and community, whilst our culinary team surprise & delight the senses.”
