Melbourne German restaurant adds Express Lunch at Market Lane CBD
Hofbräuhaus Melbourne has expanded its weekday lunch service with the introduction of an Express Lunch menu in Melbourne’s central business district.
The Express Lunch menu is available Monday to Friday between 12 pm and 3 pm. It offers a defined selection of Bavarian dishes designed for efficient lunchtime dining. Prices start from $19, positioning the menu within a weekday lunch price range.

Menu options include freshly crumbed schnitzel served with chips and slaw. In addition, German sausages are offered with mash, sauerkraut and mustard. Currywurst with fries is also available. Meanwhile, a vegetarian schupfnudel is served with Alpine cheese, mushrooms and caramelised onions and is priced at $20.
Diners can also add a German bier or haus wine for an additional $6. As a result, the menu provides a complete lunch option within a standard break period. The Express Lunch operates alongside the venue’s broader food and beverage offering.

Hofbräuhaus Melbourne is located on Market Lane within the Chinatown precinct. Importantly, the pedestrian laneway connects directly to Bourke Street Mall. The location places the venue within walking distance of office towers, retail precincts and tram routes along Bourke Street and Swanston Street.
Consequently, the venue services consistent weekday foot traffic during lunch hours. Lunch service operates from 12 pm on weekdays, with broader trading hours extending into evening service.
