New Partnership with PhotoLife Enhances Flexibility
Treering, a company known for modernising school yearbook creation, announced on April 21, 2026, its expansion of on-demand services into New Zealand through a new partnership with PhotoLife, a leading school photography provider. This collaboration took place in Auckland, New Zealand.
The move signifies a growing trend in the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. Schools are shifting from traditional bulk print models to personalised, just-in-time yearbook production. Treering previously expanded into Australia in 2021, partnering with Easy Yearbooks and The School Photographer Alliance.
Throughout ANZ, schools are reconsidering conventional yearbook orders that require large upfront purchases and early deadlines. Treering’s on-demand model allows books to be produced only when ordered. This reduces inventory risk and administrative work, eliminates leftover stock, and ensures no minimum orders are needed.
“In Australia, we’ve seen strong adoption as schools move away from rigid print cycles and toward more flexible, on-demand solutions,” said Kevin Zerber, Co-Founder and CEO of Treering. “That same appetite exists in New Zealand. Schools want less financial risk, fewer logistical headaches, and a yearbook experience that guarantees every student is included. Partnering with PhotoLife allows us to bring that model to the New Zealand market.”
Personalised Yearbook Experience
A standout feature of Treering’s service is the inclusion of two free custom pages for each student, ensuring personal representation. Schools design the core yearbook, while families can add personal photos and memories. This approach guarantees that every student is represented in the yearbook.
This partnership enables Treering to integrate its platform with PhotoLife’s services, streamlining the process from school photography to yearbook production across New Zealand. With established operations in Australia, Treering is expanding its footprint as demand grows for more sustainable, flexible, and inclusive yearbook solutions in the ANZ region.
Hamish Chadderton of PhotoLife highlighted the benefits of the new system, stating, “Schools are looking for smarter systems that reflect how families operate today. On-demand production reduces pressure on administrators and removes the need to commit to large print runs months in advance. At the same time, Treering’s personalised pages ensure every student has a place in the book.”
