Thousands of Assets at Starting Bid of $1

The operational contents of Victoria Park are being auctioned as the site prepares for its transformation into the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Stadium. The auctions are set to begin on 29th June, with every item starting at a bid of $1.

Lloyds Auctions will conduct this extensive three-part series. Thousands of assets from the former precinct, such as hospitality equipment, vehicles, furniture, and golf gear, will be available. The auctions will extend over two days and will conclude on 30th June.

“This is a substantial commercial asset liquidation with thousands of items being offered across three separate auctions,” said Lee Hames, Chief Operations Officer of Lloyds Auctions. “With all assets starting from $1, the sale presents an opportunity for businesses and buyers to secure practical equipment and operational stock.”

Victoria Park, which had operated for 27 years, was a central destination in Brisbane for sports, leisure, and hospitality events. It officially closed on 31st May 2026 to make way for the new Olympic infrastructure.

Auction Details and Participants

The auction series is expected to attract interest from various sectors, including hospitality operators, event hire businesses, golf-related buyers, landscapers, and facilities managers. Thousands of items will be sold, including commercial hospitality equipment, events infrastructure, and golf and groundskeeping equipment.

Assets will be divided into categories such as ‘Front of House,’ ‘Buildings, Buggies & Maintenance,’ and ‘Back of House,’ with each category closing at different times over the two-day period. The auction will include items used for weddings, corporate functions, public gatherings, and golf-related activities that the park hosted.

Interested buyers can participate online at lloydsauctions.com.au. Catalogues and inspection details are available, with auctions closing from 10 am on 29th and 30th June, and the final auction closing at 2 pm on the 30th.

This auction represents a significant chance for businesses to acquire valuable commercial and operational assets at a minimal starting bid, reflecting the comprehensive scale of Victoria Park’s former operations. Every lot begins at just $1, making it accessible to a wide range of potential buyers.

The precinct’s transition marks the end of an era for Victoria Park, known for its diverse activities and significant contribution to Brisbane’s inner-city life. As the site evolves, the auction provides a unique opportunity to own a piece of its history.
