Winter facial dryness drives new treatment at Melbourne clinics

Winter facial dryness affects 64% of Australians

Winter facial dryness affects 64% of Australians, and Dr Tass Cosmetic & Skin Clinics has launched the Korean Infusion System across three Melbourne sites.

Dr Tass Cosmetic & Skin Clinics, led by Dr Tass Tasiopoulos, introduced KIS at Crown Spa Melbourne, Port Melbourne and Ripponlea.

KIS uses vacuum-assisted technology to deliver a customised mix of ingredients into the skin when clinicians decide it is suitable.

Research tied to the launch found nearly one in three people with dry skin link the condition to seasonal change in winter.

Demand for clinically guided skincare has also risen by 12%, while the market is forecast to nearly double by 2034.

At Dr Tass Clinics, clinicians assess KIS suitability during consultation and choose ingredients based on each patient’s skin concerns and treatment plan.

KIS may suit concerns including dry or dehydrated skin, dullness, uneven texture or tone, fine lines and lack of radiance.

Dr Tass Clinics offers KIS at Crown Spa Melbourne, Port Melbourne and Ripponlea, with enquiries invited through [email protected] or 9908 3737.

Meanwhile, the launch reflects a broader change in patient behaviour, with more Australians adding targeted treatments to regular skincare routines.

Ingredient transparency has become more important too, especially for actives such as hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and peptides.

“Patients are more informed than they were five years ago, but skincare still needs to be assessed in context,” Dr Tass Tasiopoulos said.

Dr Tass Tasiopoulos said active ingredients do not mean every product or treatment suits a person’s skin at that time.

Because of that, Dr Tass Clinics reviews KIS as part of a broader care plan instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach.
