Former Google executive will lead AIT’s global technology strategy and AI
AIT Worldwide Logistics has hired Justin Kosslyn as chief digital and technology officer in a newly created role.
The company is based in Itasca, Illinois, and announced the appointment on 13 July 2026.
Kosslyn will report to President and Chief Operating Officer Keith Tholan and lead AIT’s global technology strategy.
His brief includes AIT’s existing technology programme and the next generation of integrated digital, data, AI and customer-facing systems.
The company linked the hire to a wider digital transformation across its global network of shippers and partners.
Tholan argued Kosslyn’s record at major technology companies can help AIT shape the next phase of logistics.
He also pointed to Kosslyn’s experience building digital products and leading technical teams as a fit with AIT’s work in logistics, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and AI.
Keith Tholan outlines AIT strategy
According to AIT, the new executive role aims to unify systems used by a diverse set of shippers and partners around the world.
Tholan described technology as a strategic differentiator for AIT as data and AI change logistics services.
“As technology, data and AI reshape logistics, we see an opportunity to build on that history by developing capabilities that help customers navigate complexity with greater clarity, speed and confidence,” Tholan said.
Kosslyn brings more than 15 years of experience leading technical teams and scaling digital products.
Before joining AIT, he held senior leadership roles at Google and led product management for the company’s news ecosystem.
That work included oversight of Google Trends and Search Console, two widely used Google platforms.
Earlier in his career, Kosslyn spent a decade at Google Jigsaw, where he helped develop digital and information security tools.
Those projects included initiatives designed to mitigate threats from cyberattacks.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Vaughn Moore framed the hire as part of AIT’s long-term plan to expand its technology leadership.
“By hiring him into this new role, the company is positioned to further disrupt the industry,” Moore said.
AIT said Kosslyn will help build more connected, scalable and customer-focused technology across the organisation.
The appointment adds a former Google product leader to AIT’s executive management team as the logistics company invests further in AI, data and digital systems.
