Year-Round Support for Vulnerable Families
Arada Foundation has teamed up with The Big Heart Foundation to transform its ‘Home for a Home’ initiative into a continuous global effort. Each home sold by Arada in Australia, the UAE, and the UK will now contribute to building homes for vulnerable families worldwide.
With a target of constructing at least 4,000 new homes annually, the expanded programme will focus on Chad, Indonesia, and Lebanon in 2026, providing essential support to communities in need.
Arada plans to construct 3,550 sustainable refugee shelters in Chad during the first full year. Refugees displaced by the Sudanese conflict will benefit from this initiative, which is in collaboration with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.
Global Partnerships and Impact
Meanwhile, in Indonesia, 300 homes are set to be built in the Yogyakarta Province with Habitat for Humanity, including 50 homes designed for people with disabilities. The initiative will also enhance community training and water infrastructure.
Lebanon will see 150 homes renovated in Ghazze, a village facing challenges due to displaced individuals from South Lebanon. The Norwegian Refugee Council is partnering to improve these living conditions and ensure safer housing.
HH Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Humanitarian Envoy of TBHF and Chairman of Arada, stated, “This programme reflects a shared vision of social responsibility that goes beyond business. ‘Home for a Home’ ensures that every success story in our communities creates a ripple of hope far beyond our borders.”
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, emphasised, “Whether you’re buying in Sydney, London, or Dubai, the story is the same – when you buy a home for your family, you’re also buying a home for a family in need.”
Originally launched during Ramadan in 2022, the initiative has already funded over 2,100 homes for refugees in Kenya, Chad, and Syria, positively impacting more than 76,000 individuals globally. The programme aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting the importance of business contributions to societal well-being.
In Australia, the Arada Foundation is also working on initiatives like ‘Arada House’, a safe haven for women and children in Sydney, launched in partnership with Women’s Community Shelters in November 2025.
