Super-App to Launch in Nigeria Next Quarter

MTN Group Fintech has formed a strategic partnership with Ant International to accelerate the digital transformation of its mobile money ecosystem. This collaboration, revealed on 11th June 2026, aims to enhance digital finance services through a new super-app platform, set to launch in Nigeria next quarter.

Leveraging Ant International’s advanced technology, MTN’s mobile money platform, MoMo, will evolve into a more integrated and secure system. Enhanced fraud prevention and improved user engagement will be offered for both consumers and merchants.

Ralph Mupita, MTN Group President and CEO, stated, “This partnership aligns with MTN Group’s ambition of leading digital solutions for Africa’s progress by leveraging scale, technology, and strong global partnerships.”

Transforming Digital Finance

Ant International’s mini app system will improve transaction speed, reliability, and integration across financial and commerce services. Nigeria will see a significant enhancement in the MoMo experience, supporting payments, savings, and value-added services within a unified digital environment.
