78-Month Data Highlights Treatment Efficacy

Significant 78-month data on BRUKINSA for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) was presented by BeOne Medicines Ltd. At the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, emphasising long-term disease control.

Results from the SEQUOIA study demonstrate how BRUKINSA, a next-generation BTK inhibitor, effectively provides extended progression-free survival (PFS) for patients. Over a median follow-up of 84 months, BRUKINSA achieved a 78-month PFS rate of 71.8%, surpassing the 31.0% rate with bendamustine-rituximab.

Dr. Amit Agarwal, Chief Medical Officer at BeOne, remarked, “Our data at ASCO show that BRUKINSA continues to deliver sustained disease control, which can give physicians and patients confidence to stay the course.”

BRUKINSA and Sonrotoclax Combination

Combining BRUKINSA with the BCL2 inhibitor sonrotoclax led to deep and rapid undetectable minimal residual disease (uMRD) responses, suggesting potential for time-limited treatments in CLL.

The Phase 1/1b study demonstrated a 100% overall response rate, with complete responses observed in 59.5% of patients. The combination achieved a 98.8% uMRD4 rate, indicating no reversion to uMRD positivity.

According to Professor Constantine Tam of Monash University, “The continued long-term follow-up from SEQUOIA shows that zanubrutinib can deliver sustained disease control. This is the kind of evidence that allows clinicians and patients to make first-line decisions with real confidence.”

Upcoming presentations at the 2026 European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress in Stockholm will further showcase data and analyses, reinforcing BRUKINSA’s role as a foundational treatment in hematology.

Real-world evidence from over 250,000 patients supports BRUKINSA’s consistent effectiveness and safety in clinical practice, establishing it further as a best-in-class BTK inhibitor.

The combination with sonrotoclax underlines BeOne’s commitment to innovative, next-generation therapies in CLL, offering hope for time-limited treatment options.

SEQUOIA’s 78-month data provides the longest reported follow-up for a next-generation BTK inhibitor in first-line CLL, allowing a deeper understanding of treatment outcomes over time.
