Search for Australia's Next Travel Reviewer

BIG4 Holiday Parks is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for one lucky Australian to embark on a remarkable $250,000 road trip around the country. This year-long adventure will let the winner explore Australia's diverse landscapes, from the vibrant cities to the tranquil outback.

With the rising cost of living affecting travel plans, many Australians seek affordable holiday options. According to recent research, 47% of Australians prioritise travel over other discretionary spending, despite 83% being willing to make trade-offs to afford a trip.

BIG4 CEO Sean Jenner remarked, "Australians don't need a passport to have an incredible holiday – the best trips are right here. But we know cost is a very real barrier right now. The BIG Aussie Review is our way of saying: here’s the van, here’s the keys, here’s the budget. Just go."

The competition, known as The BIG Aussie Review, aims to find Australia's next great travel reviewer. Participants must submit a 60-second video reviewing something they love. Applications are open until 13 April 2026, with the entry period reaching its halfway mark.

Domestic tourism is on the rise, with Australian travellers expected to spend $183 billion on local travel by 2030. This surge indicates that, despite tighter budgets, the desire to explore remains strong among Australians.

Prizes and Itinerary

The grand prize includes a Ford Ranger, a Crusader Lifechanger Bunkie caravan, and accommodation at BIG4 Holiday Parks for a year. The prize package also covers a fuel allowance, weekly food expenses, and content creation equipment to document the journey.

The winner will have the opportunity to travel through various destinations, from serene coastal towns to the rugged outback. They will capture and share their experiences on social media and other platforms, highlighting Australia's hidden gems and popular attractions.

Entries for The BIG Aussie Review close on 13 April 2026. Aspiring travel content creators can apply at big4.com.au/the-big-aussie-review, showcasing their creativity and passion for storytelling through their video submissions.

Sean Jenner emphasised that the campaign was created in response to Australians’ love of discovering their own backyard. He stated, "The best storytellers aren’t always the ones with the biggest following. We want to find the person who lights up talking about a hidden surf break or a pub meal in the middle of nowhere and give them a year to show Australia what they’ve got."
