Bitget ranked top three in commodity and equity perpetuals

Bitget recorded nearly $70 billion in TradFi perpetual trading volume in Q2 2026, according to the TokenInsight Q2 2026 Crypto Exchange Report released in Victoria, Seychelles, on 21 July 2026.

TokenInsight placed the exchange in the top three for both commodity and equity perpetual markets during the quarter. The report also showed TradFi perpetuals made up 8.61% of Bitget’s total derivatives volume, the second-highest penetration rate among major centralised exchanges.

Across the industry, TradFi perpetuals became one of the fastest-growing segments in Q2. Monthly trading volume climbed from $52 billion in January to $268 billion in June.

Equity perpetuals drove much of that rise as exchanges expanded into tokenised stocks, IPO products and other real-world assets. TokenInsight described TradFi perpetuals as a product line that has moved from an emerging niche into a strategic area of competition.

IPO Prime and Stocks 2.0

Bitget’s gains followed product launches under its Universal Exchange strategy. TokenInsight highlighted IPO Prime and Stocks 2.0 among the sector’s notable developments in the second quarter.

The company also increased its wider derivatives footprint during the period. Its futures open interest market share rose from 7.81% in Q1 to 8.58% in Q2, one of the strongest gains among the major exchanges tracked by TokenInsight.

Gracy Chen, Bitget’s chief executive, said the figures showed the market was moving toward the exchange’s Universal Exchange model.

“UEX is built around the belief that investors don’t want separate platforms for crypto and traditional finance, they want frictionless access to opportunities across both,” Chen said.

The report arrived as exchange operators pushed further into multi-asset trading. While total crypto exchange volume slipped to $16.5 trillion in Q2, spot trading recovered from $3.3 trillion to $4.5 trillion.

That rebound came as traders reacted to renewed market volatility and Bitcoin’s repeated tests of the $60,000 support level. Meanwhile, the rise in TradFi-linked contracts showed stronger demand for products that connect crypto infrastructure with global financial markets.

Bitget markets its Universal Exchange ecosystem as a single venue for crypto, tokenised equities, commodities and other global assets. That strategy helped lift its presence in a segment that expanded quickly through Q2 2026.
