Charlotte Tilbury, the founder and creative leader of Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, has been awarded a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours 2026 for her services to the beauty industry. This accolade highlights her significant impact on transforming the sector.
Since launching her brand in 2013, Tilbury has played a pivotal role in the growth of the UK beauty sector, which expanded from approximately £17 billion in 2013 to over £31 billion today. Her company is now the UK's top prestige makeup brand.
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty operates in 57 markets with over 5,500 distribution points worldwide and employs more than 3,000 people. The company is renowned for its iconic products such as Pillow Talk and AIRbrush.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Contributions
Tilbury’s approach has integrated artistry and technology, creating a social media audience that exceeds 20 million. Her innovations include AI-powered personalisation and digital advancements, which have democratized professional beauty expertise on a large scale.
In 2020, Tilbury led a strategic partnership with Puig, valuing her company at over £1 billion. She has also received over 600 industry awards and was previously awarded an MBE in 2018 for her contributions.
