UK, Spain, Ireland, Poland and the Netherlands added
Expensify, Inc. Has launched the Expensify Visa Commercial Card for businesses in the UK and select European markets. The rollout covers the UK, Spain, Ireland, Poland and the Netherlands.
Finance teams across those markets can now issue the card for real-time spend visibility, built-in policy controls and fewer employee reimbursements. The company said the product is open to businesses of all sizes.
San Francisco-based Expensify trades on Nasdaq under the ticker EXFY. It sells software for expenses, corporate cards and travel.
Founder and chief executive David Barrett said the card keeps business spend controlled, compliant and ready for accounting. He called it a “preaccounting assistant” that cuts time spent reconciling transactions, chasing receipts and reimbursing staff.

Transactions appear instantly in Expensify instead of waiting for month-end. As a result, finance teams can track spending as it happens.
Concierge AI also auto-categorises purchases and matches receipts to transactions. According to Expensify, the tool uses member preferences and feedback when it codes spending.
Spending limits block non-compliant purchases in real time. Category rules then flag out-of-policy transactions before approval.
Businesses can issue single-use virtual cards and date-limited virtual cards for contractors, subscriptions or project spending. They can also settle balances daily or monthly to match cash flow.
For UK and EU finance teams, the card includes built-in VAT tracking and enhanced statement reporting. It also offers automatic two-way syncs with QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct and other accounting platforms.
Cardholders can use the product at millions of locations worldwide with zero foreign transaction fees. Teams that use the Expensify Card for business spend can qualify for up to 50% off an Expensify subscription.
Barrett pointed to Pivot Bio in the US as an example of the savings. “One of our US customers, Pivot Bio, cut down on their expense report audit times by 90%,” he said.
The launch forms part of Expensify’s wider global push. The company also supports corporate cards from more than 10,000 banks worldwide through its Bring Your Own Cards, or BYOC, programme.
Businesses can connect any GBP, EUR or US business bank account. No minimums, deposits, personal guarantees or credit checks are required.
Expensify says 15 million members worldwide use its app. The company also cites ratings across G2, TrustRadius and Capterra.
The Expensify Visa Commercial Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank, N.A., under a licence from Visa U.S. Customers can check Expensify’s help site for the full list of supported countries.
