Casa Berardi keeps 2026 guidance at 62,000 to 67,000 ounces
Casa Berardi resumed operations in Quebec on the evening of 17th July 2026 after a voluntary suspension linked to nearby wildfire activity.
Orezone Gold Corporation released the update from Vancouver, British Columbia, on 20th July 2026. The mine had paused work on 14th July 2026 as wildfire activity developed near the site.
During the shutdown, a skeleton workforce stayed at Casa Berardi. The team preserved the operation and carried out maintenance that had been scheduled for later in 2026.
As a result, the company expects less planned maintenance downtime during the rest of 2026. It also reaffirmed production guidance of 62,000 to 67,000 ounces from Casa Berardi for the full year.
SOPFEU, the Société de protection des forêts contre le feu, supported the site during the suspension along with employees, contractors and local authorities.
Shares in the company trade on the TSX and ASX under ORE and on the OTCQX under ORZCF. Casa Berardi, a recently acquired mine in Quebec, has produced more than 3.2 million ounces of gold to date.
Elsewhere in the portfolio, Bomboré in West Africa was built and brought into production by Orezone in late 2022.
Patrick Downey, director, president and chief executive officer, authorised the release. Amanda Mallough is vice president of investor relations.

Meanwhile, Orezone thanked SOPFEU, its employees and contractors, and local authorities for their support during the temporary suspension. Following the restart on 17th July 2026, the company kept its output target unchanged at 62,000 to 67,000 ounces.
