Singapore-Canada action-comedy begins shoot at AUX Infinite Studios
KUNGFULAND began principal photography in Singapore on 10th June 2026. It is the first scripted feature-length action-comedy treaty co-production between Singapore and Canada to use virtual production.
Enigmatig Limited announced its investment on 21st July 2026. The company trades on NYSE American under the ticker EGG.
Filming is under way at AUX Infinite Studios in Singapore. Producers are using LED wall technology with practical sets inspired by Shaw Brothers films.
Set in Chinatown in 1999, KUNGFULAND pays homage to 1970s martial arts cinema. However, it frames that influence as an action-comedy.
Singapore-based Ajacent Media and Canadian-based 100 Dragons are producing the film. IMDA, the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore, is also backing the project.
Jacen Tan and Maninder Chana
Idrissa Sanogo Bamba, Ellen Wong, Dion Johnstone and Hugh Tran lead the cast. Legendary Hong Kong actor David Chiang appears in a cameo.
Canadian writer Maninder Chana wrote KUNGFULAND with Singaporeans Jacen Tan and Andrew Ngin. Tan also directs the film.
Singaporean Kat Goh and Canadian Teresa M. Ho are producing the feature. As a result, the production team mirrors the Singapore-Canada treaty structure.
Shaw Organisation will distribute the film in Singapore. Meanwhile, Raven Banner Releasing will handle Canada, and Flourishing Films will cover the rest of the world.
Desmond Foo, founder and chief executive of Enigmatig, said KUNGFULAND is “a homegrown Singapore story built to reach the world”. He tied the investment to Enigmatig’s cross-border business.
According to Enigmatig, the deal also supports local creative talent and storytelling. Foo said that support matters because the company is headquartered in Singapore.
For Enigmatig, the investment goes beyond one film. Since 2010, the company has offered regulatory, corporate and technology-driven services to businesses expanding internationally.
Headquartered in Singapore, Enigmatig also has a presence in Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Shanghai, London, Taipei and Tokyo.
