Former Palantir Technologies AI lead will drive NIQ's enterprise AI growth
NIQ has appointed Irina Stoian as Chief AI Commercial Officer, a newly created role at the Chicago-based consumer intelligence company. NIQ announced the hire as part of a push to speed up its enterprise AI commercial strategy and help clients turn AI capabilities into business growth.
Stoian will align Product, Technology, Commercial, Partnerships and Marketing teams around one AI growth strategy. Her remit includes commercial AI offerings, strategic partnerships, pricing, business models and deeper integration of NIQ tools into client workflows.
NIQ said the appointment adds to a broader AI plan that positions the company as a trusted intelligence infrastructure for AI-driven commerce. The company highlighted ConnectAI, NIQ Optiq and NIQ Cadence as key parts of that portfolio.
Jim Peck on NIQ AI strategy
Jim Peck, NIQ chief executive officer, described AI as central to the company’s product plan. “AI is not a feature we are adding to NIQ; it is core to our product strategy,” Peck said.
Peck also pointed to Stoian’s commercial and technical background as NIQ expands AI tools for clients. NIQ wants customers to access its data and workflows through NIQ applications, within their own AI environments and through governed integrations with frontier AI models.
Before joining NIQ, Stoian worked at Palantir Technologies as Commercial AI Lead. She spent nearly six years at Palantir helping organisations deploy and scale AI-powered solutions.
During that six-year period, Stoian held leadership roles in AI strategy, commercial operations, go-to-market execution and enterprise transformation. Earlier, she worked at Barclays in analytics and commercialisation roles and earned recognition in Forbes Romania’s 30 Under 30 programme.
Stoian said NIQ’s mix of trusted data, products, scale and customer relationships drew her to the role. “What excites me most is the opportunity to help NIQ evolve from a trusted data partner into an infrastructure and technology partner that powers AI-driven commerce for clients around the world,” she said.
Troy Treangen, NIQ’s Chief AI & Product Officer, said the company created the CAICO role as AI changes quickly. He said the new post will connect product strategy, commercialization and client needs more closely.
According to NIQ, its unified AI strategy combines trusted intelligence infrastructure, AI-powered applications and Commerce Intelligence. As a result, clients can use NIQ capabilities in NIQ products, in their own systems and through governed links to frontier AI models.
NIQ trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker NIQ.
