Partnership to Enhance Gambit Combat Aircraft

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) and the INTEC Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the ILA Berlin Air Show on 11th June 2026 to collaborate on the Gambit Series of Collaborative Combat Aircraft.

Under the agreement, INTEC will support GA-ASI with the architecture and integration of mission systems, as well as provide logistic support services for the Gambit aircraft. This collaboration aims to boost sovereign capabilities for Germany’s defence needs.

GA-ASI CEO Linden Blue expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “INTEC’s experience in mission system architecture and integration will help GA-ASI to ensure that new capabilities for Gambit are produced on time.”

Gambit Aircraft Details

The Gambit CCA is designed for air-to-air, air-to-ground, and electronic warfare missions. It serves as an uncrewed combat jet optimised for tasks such as electronic warfare and precision strikes, making it a versatile option for modern security challenges.

Christoph Otten, CEO of INTEC, highlighted the partnership’s importance: “By combining GA-ASI’s world-class technology with INTEC’s expertise, we are committed to delivering tangible value to the German CCA programme.”

GA-ASI is actively flight testing the YFQ-42A CCA for the U.S. Air Force and has also been selected by the U.S. Marine Corps for their evaluation programme. This partnership with INTEC aims to expand its capabilities in the European market.

The Gambit CCA’s capabilities include Suppression of Enemy Air Defences (SEAD) and Destruction of Enemy Air Defences (DEAD), which are critical for modern combat scenarios. It also offers stand-off precision strike capabilities, adding to its versatility.

INTEC Group, with over 25 years of expertise in engineering and system integration, will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational success of the Gambit aircraft in Europe. Their collaboration with GA-ASI is expected to enhance mission readiness and support the growing interest in CCAs across Germany.

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., known for its Predator line of Unmanned Aircraft Systems, has logged more than 9 million flight hours over 30 years. Their commitment to providing long-endurance, multi-mission solutions aligns with the objectives of the new partnership.
