Album Launch and Collaborations

Australian vocalist Greg Gould has released a moving music video for his new song ‘No More’, featuring Helen Baird and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. This video is part of his latest album ‘Strings Attached (Deluxe)’, which was released on 10 April. Inspired by the tragic deaths of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies, the song and its video seek to raise awareness and tell a personal story.

In the music video, real survivors, including Gould himself, share their stories. Helen Baird, the mother of the late Jesse Baird, appears in the video, providing a deeply personal tribute to her son and his partner. Her involvement adds a touching and emotional layer to the project, aiming to honour their memory.

Expanded Album and Collaborations

The deluxe album expands on Gould’s 2024 ARIA chart-topping release and features international collaborations with artists like Grammy winner Shoshana Bean and global powerhouse Morissette. It also includes contributions from Australian artists such as Kate DeAraugo, Tania Doko, Karise Eden, and Kween Kong. The album offers live orchestral arrangements directed by Ryan Youens, alongside four new tracks, remixes, and bonus songs like ‘Running’ for the Australian film ‘Body Blow’.

The album’s creation involved co-writing efforts by Gould with Adam Noviello and Jack Hollander. Following the heartfelt connection Helen Baird felt with its lyrics, she reached out to Gould, moved by its message, and expressed gratitude for the tribute to her son and his partner. This connection highlights the deeply personal nature of the project.

Gould will launch the album with a special performance at Memo Music Hall in St Kilda, Melbourne, on 11 April, featuring many of the album’s collaborators. This event promises to be a celebration of music and collaboration.

In addition to the album launch, Greg Gould is set to headline the Bendigo Pride Festival this month, further showcasing his commitment to using music as a platform for change and advocacy. His involvement in the festival emphasises his dedication to LGBTQ+ rights and visibility.

Listen to ‘Strings Attached (Deluxe)’ and watch the ‘No More’ music video to experience the powerful messages conveyed through Gould’s artistry. The project not only highlights his musical talent but also his dedication to important social issues.

The ‘No More’ video includes powerful performances and stories, bringing awareness to domestic and sexual violence. It serves as a call for change, showing the impact of music in raising social consciousness.
