Milestone Achieved at Texas Facility
LibertyStream Infrastructure Partners Inc. Celebrated a significant achievement with its first tonne of lithium carbonate delivered to a U.S. Industrial customer on 3rd June 2026. This milestone was reached from the company’s facility in Howard County, Texas.
Originating from LibertyStream’s Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) Unit and Lithium Carbonate Refining Facility at Select Water Solutions’ site, north of Midland, Texas, this shipment marks the company’s inaugural U.S. Order fulfilment from this location.
“Delivery of our first tonne of lithium carbonate achieving the required technical specifications, is another successful significant milestone by the entire LibertyStream team,” remarked Alex Wylie, President & CEO of LibertyStream.
Expansion Plans and Future Production
Currently, LibertyStream’s Texas operations are advancing from site deployment and production to customer delivery. The company aims to replicate its model across other U.S. Oilfield basins. Plans are in place to reach an annualized production capability of up to 1,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate by the end of 2026.
Constructed ahead of schedule in March 2026, the facility is equipped to produce both battery-grade and technical-grade lithium carbonate. It incorporates key lessons from previous operations to enhance consistency.
LibertyStream anticipates the Select site to function as a core platform as it scales up operations, with preparations for constructing its first high-capacity Texas facility set for late 2026.
As part of a broader customer qualification and commercial sales process, this first tonne delivery represents an essential step in derisking LibertyStream’s plan to replicate its lithium extraction and refining model across high-volume U.S. Oilfield basins, such as the Permian and Bakken.
Installation and construction of the Lithium Carbonate Operating Facility were completed ahead of schedule in March 2026, and production from the Refining Unit has commenced. The current configuration at Select’s site is designed to improve operating consistency as LibertyStream builds production history in the field.
With this successful delivery, LibertyStream intends to expand customer deliveries and begin site preparation for additional facilities. The Select site is expected to remain a critical operating and validation platform as the company progresses.
