Love, Lust and Gluttony Marks Valentine’s Day at StandardX

Valentine’s Day event scheduled at Bistro X, StandardX Melbourne

Love, Lust and Gluttony will be held at Bistro X within StandardX Melbourne on Saturday, 14th February 2026. The one-night event is scheduled to begin at 6 pm and will run throughout the evening. The program has been designed as an alternative Valentine’s Day dining format, with a focus on shared food, drinks and in-room experiences.

The event will take place inside Bistro X, located on Fitzroy Street. The restaurant will host a large-format dining setup, including a central Gluttony table and a dessert station titled Happy Endings. Guests will receive access to both food offerings as part of their ticket.

Food service for the evening includes oysters, charcuterie, crudités, cheeses, fried chicken, olives and desserts. Drinks served during the event include sparkling wine on arrival, with cocktails available throughout the night. Therefore, the structure departs from a traditional seated dining service.

One attendee will be randomly selected during the event to receive a one-night stay at StandardX Melbourne on the same evening. The winner will be announced on site. This component forms part of the scheduled program rather than a pre-booked accommodation package.

The event also includes a partnership with Melbourne-based sexual wellness brand High Tide. As part of this collaboration, conversation cards and curated items will be distributed during the evening. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to enter a draw to receive a gift box provided by the brand.

High Tide founders Paige Aubort and Søren Poulsen are scheduled to attend the event. They will be present throughout the evening and available for informal discussions with guests. This participation has been incorporated into the event format rather than a formal presentation.

Bistro X operates year-round within StandardX Melbourne. Outside of this event, the restaurant is open for breakfast seven days a week, dinner from Tuesday to Saturday between 5 pm and 10 pm, and lunch service on Fridays and Saturdays from 12 pm to 3 pm.

StandardX Melbourne is located at 419 Fitzroy Street, Fitzroy VIC 3065. The hotel includes 125 guest rooms across eight floors, alongside food, beverage and retail offerings. However, rooftop facilities remain accessible only to in-house guests at the time of publication.
