Melbourne Has A Cool New Wellness Experience At CRYO Stay Young

A Three-Minute -140°C Whole-Body Cryotherapy Experience Opens at Eastland

Melbourne has a cool new wellness experience to add to the list with the opening of CRYO Stay Young at Eastland shopping centre in Ringwood. The venue introduces whole-body cryotherapy to the centre and adds a sub-zero recovery service to the eastern suburbs.

The Eastland location features the CRYO Arctic system, which uses 100% breathable air and reaches temperatures as low as -140°C. Each session runs for three minutes and delivers controlled, full-body exposure to extreme cold under staff supervision.

Whole-body cryotherapy exposes the body to sub-zero temperatures for short periods. This rapid cooling triggers physiological responses linked to circulation and inflammation management. Studies show whole-body cryotherapy can assist with post-exercise recovery and muscle soreness.

Research also explores links between cryotherapy and mood and sleep quality. As a result, more people continue to incorporate whole-body cryotherapy into structured recovery routines. The Eastland site places the service within a retail wellness setting rather than a clinical environment.

The CRYO Arctic system operating at Eastland holds a listing with Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration. This listing places the technology among a limited group of wellness systems that meet Australian medical-grade standards for safety, quality and performance after independent compliance review.

Sessions focus on short exposure times rather than prolonged cold immersion. Trained staff supervise every session and describe the treatment as non-invasive. The venue presents the format as accessible to both experienced users and those new to cryotherapy.

Beyond whole-body cryotherapy, the Eastland venue offers a range of additional recovery and wellbeing treatments. These include an infrared sauna, which the business says supports muscle relaxation and detoxification.

The site also offers red light therapy, which supports skin health and cellular repair. In addition, the venue provides hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which aims to enhance oxygen circulation and assist recovery from fatigue.

Eastland confirmed the new venue aligns with its continued focus on expanding health and wellbeing services within the centre. The addition introduces a wellness category not previously available at the Ringwood location.

“Eastland continues to evolve as a destination for health and wellbeing,” said Greg Balmforth, General Manager at Eastland. “CRYO Stay Young Eastland introduces a service we haven’t had access to before and brings something genuinely new to the centre and broader community, giving people innovative ways to invest in their health.”

“Too often, we wait for a scare before we take our health seriously. Our mission is to make recovery and wellbeing part of everyday life,” said Satyapriya Pani from CRYO Stay Young Eastland. “Whether you are an athlete managing performance and injury recovery, or someone proactively supporting your overall health through whole-body cryotherapy, we believe building healthy habits is the best form of prevention.”

CRYO Stay Young operates on Level 1 near Gate 7 at Eastland shopping centre in Ringwood. The opening adds a new wellness service to the centre’s tenant mix and expands access to whole-body cryotherapy in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
