Participate to Support Dementia Awareness

Pratten Park will host the 2026 Gold Coast Memory Walk & Jog this Sunday, 7th June. Everyone in the Gold Coast community is invited to raise awareness and funds for dementia. The event begins at 7:30 am, offering participants the option to walk, jog, or run. Already, more than 870 people have signed up to participate, but there’s still room for more. Interested individuals can register online or sign up on the day of the event.

MC Takaya Honda will host the day’s activities, ensuring a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. This is an opportunity for the community to engage in physical activity while supporting those affected by dementia.

How to Get Involved

Individuals unable to attend the Memory Walk & Jog can still participate through a MyWay event. Organise your own walk or jog, choosing a date and location that suits you, while still contributing to the cause.

Dementia Australia supports over 446,500 Australians living with dementia and more than 1.7 million involved in their care. The organisation advocates for positive change and supports vital research.

By participating in events like the Memory Walk & Jog, community members can help raise funds that aid in research and advocacy efforts. Dementia Australia encourages everyone to get involved, whether through the main event or a personalized MyWay event.
