On 6th May, Australia will celebrate its first National Healthy Ageing Day, focusing on practical methods to help Australians maintain strength and independence as they age. The event addresses the nation’s rapidly ageing population, offering a chance to rethink support strategies for longer, healthier lives. Healthy ageing is highlighted through evidence-based actions like staying active and socially connected. using appropriate tools to maintain independence is central to the initiative.n
