Innovations in Electrical Technology

Launching in April 2026, Schneider Electric and Clipsal by Schneider Electric will kick off a national roadshow, delivering hands-on electrical training at over 80 locations throughout Australia. Electricians will benefit from this effort to help them adapt to the swiftly changing energy sector.

Electricians will gain practical skills and firsthand experience with cutting-edge technologies such as EV charging, digital switchboards, and smart systems right at their job sites. These innovations are crucial for professionals aiming to remain competitive as customer expectations continue to soar.

Chris Kerr, Vice President and CEO of Clipsal by Schneider Electric, highlighted the need for the industry to advance alongside rapid technological changes. He stated, “The On the Go Learning Centre makes that access to knowledge practical and immediate. We’re bringing the latest technologies, tools, and expertise directly to where people work.”

Expanding Access Nationwide

With a mobile learning centre travelling to both metropolitan and regional locations, the roadshow offers a flexible, drop-in format that enhances access to vital skills and expertise for electrical professionals across the country. Electricians from all areas will benefit equally from the training offered.

Opportunities for regional electricians to engage with technologies and specialists usually found only in major cities will be available through this tour. Meanwhile, metro electricians can take advantage of convenient training sessions that fit into their busy schedules.

Focused on practical, hands-on learning, the roadshow aims to help industry professionals build their capabilities and stay current with emerging trends. Attendees will have opportunities to interact with technical specialists and explore applications in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Within the mobile centre, professionals can explore innovations in electrification, automation, and digital solutions. This experience is designed to assist electricians in working more efficiently, simplifying installations, and addressing the increasing demand for energy-efficient solutions.

The 2026 tour is part of a larger initiative to support the electrical industry during the energy transition. Schneider Electric and Clipsal are integrating technology, expertise, and direct engagement to strengthen the industry’s capabilities.
