Over 820 Participants Expected at Griffith Park
Dementia Australia is organising its annual Newcastle Memory Walk & Jog on Sunday, 31st May. Beginning at 7:30 am, the event will take place at Griffith Park, located on the Punt Road side. This event aims to support individuals impacted by dementia and raise awareness within the community.
Over 820 locals are expected to participate, including people living with dementia, their families, friends, and dedicated carers. Jenny Marchant, a notable local personality, will be the special guest MC, bringing additional excitement to the event. Dementia Australia, known for providing trusted information, education, and services, supports over 446,500 Australians living with dementia. They also aid the more than 1.7 million people who are involved in their care.
