New Features Enhance Automation and Compliance
Nintex, a leader in business orchestration, has launched the latest on-premises version of its platform, Nintex K2 (5.9.1). Announced on April 29, this release introduces on-premises AI capabilities and simplified identity management, aiming to help organisations automate business processes without compromising control and compliance.
Organisations can now deploy AI-driven automation entirely within their environments, eliminating reliance on external APIs or cloud services. This advancement benefits businesses in regulated industries requiring strict data sovereignty and governance.
Niranjan Vijayaragavan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Nintex, emphasised the significance of the release by stating, K2 (5.9.1) is our first step in bringing AI directly into the platform in a way that fits how our customers operate today. By keeping AI within the boundaries they already trust, were giving teams a practical entry point to start using AI in workflows where it adds value without disrupting the control and governance their processes depend on.
Key Features of Nintex K2 5.9.1
The latest version offers built-in, locally hosted AI capabilities, enabling sentiment analysis and severity scoring within workflows. All AI-driven decisions, such as routing and prioritization, operate fully within the customers environment, ensuring privacy and security.
Simplified identity federation is another enhancement, providing automated onboarding for OIDC-compatible identity providers. This feature reduces the complexity of managing users across systems and keeps identity data current without manual intervention.
Focusing on accessibility, the update includes WCAG runtime improvements for forms, such as contrast, zoom behavior, and focus states. These enhancements help organisations meet accessibility standards and improve usability for both end users and developers.
The platform also introduces a new high-contrast style profile and greater control in the Workflow Designer, including optional auto-save behavior, which improves usability for developers. According to Nintex, these improvements are crucial for organisations operating in complex and regulated environments.
Nintex K2 (5.9.1) is now available to existing customers. They can access the release documentation and upgrade guidance through the Nintex Community portal, ensuring a smooth transition to the new capabilities.
The company continues to focus on reducing operational friction, making it easier to embed AI into workflows and manage identity at scale. By addressing the needs of regulated industries, Nintex aims to support customers in maintaining governance and data sovereignty while adopting AI technologies.
