Float Premier launches with data-driven fit from 6 million runs

Reebok has introduced the Float Premier running shoe, marking its return to the performance running category. The release builds on the Premier series with a design informed by real-world running data and developed in collaboration with The Athlete’s Foot.

The Float Premier incorporates MyFit 3D technology alongside more than six million data points collected from Australian runners. As a result, the shoe delivers a fit designed to align with actual running patterns rather than standardised sizing assumptions.

The model is positioned as a daily trainer, balancing cushioning, responsiveness, and stability. It is designed to support a range of running conditions, including shorter sessions and longer distances, while maintaining a lightweight structure.

Stuart Wright, Category Manager of Sport at Reebok, said: “At Reebok, we’re committed to pushing performance innovation forward while putting the athlete at the centre of every design. With the Float Premier, we’ve partnered with The Athlete’s Foot to harness real-world data and create a precision-fit running shoe that helps everyday athletes get more out of every run.”

The Float Premier introduces several technical features that define its performance profile. These include a SuperFloat Plus midsole, which combines supercritical EVA and TPU materials to deliver cushioning and energy return. In addition, the shoe uses a precision fit design based on MyFit 3D data to improve comfort and efficiency.

An engineered mesh upper provides zoned breathability and targeted ventilation. This structure also supports the midfoot to create a secure yet flexible fit. Meanwhile, the platform geometry includes a 31 millimetre heel stack and a 9 millimetre drop, which contribute to stability and smoother transitions during movement.

The shoe also features an enhanced fit profile. This includes a locked-in heel, a tapered midfoot, and increased forefoot volume. Consequently, the design supports natural toe splay and propulsion across different running styles.

Technical features define performance focus

The outsole has been reinforced to improve traction and durability. At the same time, it maintains flexibility to support varied terrain and repeated use. These features position the Float Premier as a long-term option for consistent training.

The release forms part of Reebok’s broader return to technical running. By integrating data-driven insights with material innovation, the brand has introduced a model focused on measurable performance outcomes.

The Float Premier will be available in a range of unisex colourways. It is priced at $240 AUD and will be released on Monday, 4th May 2026 through Reebok and The Athlete’s Foot retail channels.
