Collection Features All 18 AFL Teams

Rodd & Gunn has unveiled a limited-edition AFL capsule collection featuring designs for all 18 teams. The release is set for 1st July at MYER department stores and Rodd & Gunn boutiques across Australia.

The collection includes two main designs, the Foresters Peak sweat and the Otago Sweatshirt, both crafted from Australian-grown Good Earth Cotton. These pieces blend heritage sportswear with contemporary fashion, offering supporters a premium lifestyle option.

AFL legend Tom Hawkins was chosen to lead the campaign, which captures the collection’s essence at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The campaign positions AFL club colours as part of everyday lifestyle wear, moving beyond traditional match-day apparel.

Campaign and Collection Insights

Mike Beagley, CEO of Rodd & Gunn, highlighted the collection’s reflection of community, identity, and belonging values inherent to both AFL and the brand. “Footy has always been about more than what happens on the field. It’s community, identity and belonging,” Beagley stated.

The collection is available for pre-order on the Rodd & Gunn website before its official release. Campaign imagery featuring Hawkins underscores the clothing’s versatility, appealing to fans who wish to represent their club beyond game day.

Hawkins commented, “What I loved about the concept is it respects the game and the supporters, while presenting it through a fresh aesthetic. It’s something people can wear whether they’re heading to the footy, spending time with family and friends or simply representing their club in everyday life.”

Rodd & Gunn’s entrance into the world of Australian Rules Football marks a new chapter for the brand, which has celebrated sport, community, and craftsmanship for over 80 years. This release positions club colours beyond game day, introducing the brand to a new generation of customers.

Fans can look forward to the collection becoming available in MYER stores and Rodd & Gunn boutiques nationwide starting 1st July, allowing supporters to purchase these unique pieces while supplies last.
